Over the past couple of months Foursquare has been testing their private beta BlackBerry app.  Like any other application they wanted to make sure all the bugs were fixed before they released it to the public.  Well it appears the app has been tested enough and Foursquare for BlackBerry is now available to everyone. If this is your first time hearing about Foursqure, where have you been?  More than likely you have seen your friends “checking in” to certain landmarks on your Twitter stream.  This is because Foursquare and Twitter go hand and hand.  Basically Foursquare is a social networking game.  The objective is to go out and explore your city or town by checking in to certain landmarks from your phone.  The more you check in the more points you get and eventually you start unlocking special badges.  If you’re really into the game and check in to a place more than everyone else you become the mayor of that location.  It’s really a great way to get people out of the house and become more involved in their city.

When UberTwitter Beta-6 leaked out it created a ton of buzz in the BlackBerry community.  Not only did the popular BlackBerry Twitter application go through some drastic design enhancements, it also added a slew of new features.  The UberTwitter team decided to keep the leak available and let users try out the new version before it was officially released.  This was a great move because they were now getting feedback from a huge amount of users.  Once they worked out the bugs they promised to officially release Beta 6 and today is that day.
