BlackBerry App World is officially out of Beta and now available to the public, and it features several new features over older versions. It has been available in Beta Zone for a few weeks now, but users who didn’t get the new version already should get update notifications any time now. Along with the update, RIM has allowed developers to offer apps for $0.99 and $1.99, so we should see an increase in choices in the App World soon.

Earlier today Facebook was released to members of the Beta Zone, though it seems as though it was pulled shortly afterwards.

Back in July, we let you know that UberTwitter was updated to Beta-8, introducing a whole new user-interface, customizable theme colors, and a whole array of other new features, and now Release 2 is available for download! Primarily fixing bugs and minor issues, this 2nd release of Beta-8 updates the version to 0.985.

Many of us have been patiently waiting for Dropbox to come to BlackBerry, and it’s already hit practically every other mobile platform so far.

A while back, we let you know what you could expect in BlackBerry App World 2.0 , though there wasn’t much solid information available as to when we could expect it.

UberTwitter has undergone a series of improvements and updates to help meet the needs of BlackBerry users looking for the best Twitter experience possible. While still in Beta, this application has continually served as an excellent solution for Twitter services, and has seen yet another update, bringing UberTwitter to Beta 8 v0.98. This new version includes a new, redesigned user-interface, and adds a few features and capabilities popularized by other Twitter applications.

Fixmo by Fixmo Corp. is in beta and doing an excellent job with the updates. I don’t have release notes yet for the update, but I’ll post them as soon as they come in

When UberTwitter Beta-6 leaked out it created a ton of buzz in the BlackBerry community.  Not only did the popular BlackBerry Twitter application go through some drastic design enhancements, it also added a slew of new features.  The UberTwitter team decided to keep the leak available and let users try out the new version before it was officially released.  This was a great move because they were now getting feedback from a huge amount of users.  Once they worked out the bugs they promised to officially release Beta 6 and today is that day. UberTwitter Beta-6 (0.945) now includes several different must have Twitter features.  It supports both the new and old retweet methods, has larger avatars and includes a TwitLonger option.  The UberTwitter team also created the “Uber Bar” which lets users create tabs at the top of the application.  These can be used to quickly check @replies, DM’s and even Twitter lists.  UberTwitter is still beta however this new version shows that this application is ready for the spotlight. Beta-6 Features: Lists, Lists, Lists!!! – You can create, delete, subscribe, add members, view members, all the functionality you would expect of an Über mobile client! Find People – You can search for people, just like the ‘Find People’ link on Twitter’s home page.

Not too long ago we received a tip from Fandango that they were working on a new application for BlackBerry.  Now it appears their application is ready for primetime as a beta version was recently released.  As expected this is a full native BlackBerry app that comes with many different features. When you think of Fandango the first thing that comes to mind is buying movie tickets however they have evolved to much more than that.  They now offer movie trailers, reviews, fan ratings and much more.  All of these features have been built into their BlackBerry application for the ultimate movie experience
