RIM 1 Motorola 0

If you guys have listened to Episode 15 of The Berry Report podcast, you hear Neil Berman and I talk about the Lawsuit between RIM and Motorola.  Motorola is upset with RIM because they think that RIM stole some patients from Motorola.

Well today according to the Calgary Herald and CB, The High Court Justice in London, England invalidated Motorola’s  patent related to email gateway systems and went so far as to say even if it had been valid it hadn’t been infringed by two communications systems used by Research In Motion.

Looks like that ruling is going to take some wind out of Motorola’s sail. Their chances of winning this lawsuit aren’t too good. Maybe companies should stop bringing lawsuits against RIM.
